City Government
Our city government is run like a business. Slater citizens are committed to good government which provides a high level of service at the lowest cost. Responsive and professional government is made possible by competent, visible and accessible officials. Slater is committed to having a close partnership with private businesses, working hand in hand to provide the best opportunity for success. The city departments are headquartered in modern designed facilities to meet present and future needs. A professional Police Department provides around-the-clock law enforcement and dispatching, a volunteer Fire Department serves Slater and large rural district. Ambulance service is provided locally by certified paramedics. The Public Works Department handles ongoing capital improvement needs and overall maintenance. The Utilities Department is staffed with trained, dedicated technicians pledged to providing reliable city services. City Hall provides one stop permits, information, service requests and utility assistance. Slater Missouri operates under a Mayor/Council form of government.
